acupuncture

so went to my first acupuncture appointment today...was a bit nervous at first...i've never done much with alternative medicines before...

the whole experience was excellent...j was a wonderful kind and exceptionally informative acupuncturist...she made me feel completely at ease, explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and was especially kind to explain that there may be some things that will hurt a little bit, but nothing that will be excruciating...

so after the chit chat and the information session and answering my questions, on the table i went...my pulde and blood pressure are completely out of whack, probably because i am still in transition and adjusting to my new (although possibly very temporary) surroundings...and then we started with the needles...

it seemed pretty much was to focus on my migraines and my back problems...there was one needle that hurt when she put it in, and for good reason since the muscled in my back are still so screwed up...and the sensations that some of the others drew out were very interesting...it was hard to focus on just one sensation since there were so many of them coming from different places where needles had been put in...i drifted in and out of consciousness on the table, but always came back quickly due to the feeling of my hands twitching, much like they had had an electric charge sent through them, or sometimes clenching into fists...

after all was said and done, i was very happy with the expderience...
